About Positano

This Cliffside village on southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast is a well-known, famous vacation destination. It features pebble beachfronts as well as narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes, perfect on sunny days.

Along with its relaxed vibe, there are also architectural features worth seeing while you’re there. The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta has a majolica-tiled dome and a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary. You can also see plenty of colorful buildings and enjoy excellent restaurants.

For some more natural beauty and a little bit of adventure, walk the Sentiero degli Dei hiking trails. It links Positano to other coastal towns and gives you some stunning and romantic scenery.

When is the Best Time to Visit

According to Positano Tourism, May is considered to be the best month to visit. This is for its lack of tourists, perfect day temperatures, and blooming flowers. Also, travel rates are lower than you’d get during the summer peak season.

May’s perfect temperatures have an average of 25 °C (77°F). This is the perfect weather for exploring and taking advantage of what the Amalfi Coast has to offer.
