This Combo option gives you the possibility of visiting both the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums in one day. The tour will start from our office at 10am and it will run in a small group with an enthusiastic english speaking guide. Fast Track entrance through the Gladiators’ Gate and you will step in the center of the Arena floor from where you will also have a great view of the dungeons located just beneath. The Colosseum visit will last around one hour and a half and afterwards you will have some free time to enjoy your lunch and relax.
The second part of the tour will take in a different state, you will access to the Vatican City State and Visit the Vatican Museums, one of the largest museums with over 25.000 rooms of art. At 2:00 pm you will meet our team and our guide in front of the Vatican Museums entrance and you will have a fast entrance with skip the line tickets . You will access to the Vatican most famous galleries to see the Laocoon, the Apollo of Belvedere the Torso of Belvedere, the Nero's’ Bathtub. Many of those beautiful statues were used by Michelangelo as a model to represent the characters in the Last Judgement by Michelangelo. Thanks to our knowledgeable and friendly guide you will learn about the Sistine Chapel and discover the talent of Michelangelo through his frescoes, the guide will explain you the Sistine Chapel before entering since inside is not permitted due to the holiness of the place. From the Sistine Chapel without standing in line our group will enter St Peter’s Basilica where inside there is the Pieta by Michelangelo sculpted when he was only 19 years old and that he personally signed with his name. From the 1500s you will jump to the 2600s, Baroque period where you will discover Bernini’s Baldachin, the Altar of the Chair called “Altare della Cattedra” and the Tomb of several Popes.
