Welcome to Emilia Romagna, the food valley! With this tour you will get the chance to discover the secrets of the famous Parmigiano Reggiano, taste the Prosciutto di Parma, the balsamic vinegard of Modena and the worlwide known Emilia Lambrusco wine.

Let's start from the beginning. The departure point of this one day experience is the high speed railway station of Reggio Emilia, which is only 45 minutes far from Milan, 30 minutes from Bologna and 1 hour from Florence. This high speed train is so well connected that it will be very easy for you to leave your hotel in the morning and reach Reggio Emilia via train. Departure time is at 9.00 am from the train station. If you're staying in Reggio Emilia or Parma we could pick you up.

Once you arrive at the high speed railway station of Reggio you will meet our english speaking driver that will bring you on a special and unforgettable day tour. We will start by visiting a typical caseificio, the place where the Parmigiano Reggiano is made! The real Parmigiano-Reggiano is made into large drum-shaped wheels that have a hard natural rind and crumbly, aged interior. The process is very long and it's done every single day! The tour will last almost 1 hour including a tasting of different ages of Parmigiano Reggiano DOC.

After the tour we get back on the van and go towards a beautiful local winery named Venturini Baldini .This is a beautiful 130 ha winery and balsamic vinegar estate situated in the historical hills of Matilde di Canossa in Emilia. Dating back to the 17th century, it is home to Villa Manodori and one of the oldest vinegar cellars in the region. As for the wine, Venturini Baldini is an award-winning producer of organic lambrusco and sparkling wines grown on vineyards extending over c. 30 ha. Moreover, it's a historical producer of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar DOP from Reggio Emilia under the brand ‘Acetaia di Canossa’. Home to one of the oldest vinegar cellars dating back to the 17th century, holding more than 400 small barrels of balsamic vinegar and published in many magaziones around the world. We will enjoy a real 2 hours experience before getting back on the bus and go towards Modena, where we will have lunch in downtown and then we will go for a Balsamic Vinegard of Modena experience at one of the oldest company of balsamic vinegard in the area.

The tour will end by 4 pm and by that time we will get back on the van and bring you back to the train station of Reggio Emilia, where you will get the chance to easily get on the first train that will bring you back to your place in Milan, Florence or Bologna.
