You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 AM by your English speaking driver to begin your day tour to Marrakech, passing through the Alhaouz plain and via several quaint towns such as Ounagha, Sidi Lmokhtar. Refreshment stop in Chichaoua.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, meet your knowledgeable local guide and start your walking tour of the medina. First stop at the Saadian tombs dating back from the time of the Sultan Ahmad al-Mansou (1578-1603). The tombs were only recently discovered (in 1917) and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The tombs have, thanks to the beauty of their decoration, been a major attraction for visitors of Marrakech. Continue towards the Kasbah quarter and the Mellah former “Jewish Quarter”. Visit The Bahia Palace, a beautiful building and an excellent example of eastern architecture from the 19th century that represents trends and standards of the wealthy who lived at that time. It was built for Ahmed Ibn Moussa (or Ba Ahmed) between 1894 and 1900 in the Alawi style that was popular at the time. Explore the old spice market – the Rahba Kedima, a colorful market filled with a wide array of spices, the aromatic streets, taste the freshly squeeze orange juice and venture into the souks (shops) specializing in Berber crafts & workshops, handmade shoes, furniture, iron forgers etc.

Enjoy a three-course lunch consisting of fresh Moroccan salads, tajine and fruit at one of Marrakech’s most delectable Riads overlooking the hustle & bustle of Dar El Bacha’s streets. After lunch, your guide will then help you navigate through the labyrinth of streets and alleys to the Djemaa el Fna Square, a famous UNESCO recognized city square, where you can discover a world of mysterious bazaars set amidst the ancient city walls of Marrakech. Free time here. Surrounding are numerous cafés where you can sit at a table and amaze at the activities. Even more fun is heading to the rooftop tables, see this marvelous site, the Koutoubia minaret as its backdrop.16h00 pick up and return to Essaouira.
