Day 1

After your pick up from your Athens central hotel, depart via the coastal National highway for the strategically Corinth Canal (short stop).

Continue to Epidaurus and visit the Ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics.

Then proceed and visit the land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, an UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated much of southern Greece. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon & Clytemnestra’s, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure.

Then depart in the afternoon for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.

Day 2

In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, take a tour to Olympia archaeological site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Ancient Stadium and the archaeological Museum.

Then drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque city of Nafpaktos and Itea and from there on, arrive in Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova.

Day 3

In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi.

Delphi remains one of the most important UNESCO world heritage sites in Europe.
Pass by Castalia spring, visit the archaeological site & the museum of Delphi, and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the temple of Pronaia, the treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle and Delphi museum, with it’s spectacular exhibits include the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos the metopes of the Athenian treasury, the famous bronze Charioteer, and many other artifacts.

In the afternoon we leave Delphi for an interesting trip through Central Greece and the town of Lamia to Kalambaka.
Kalambaka is a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, crowned by the Meteora Monasteries.

We enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Kalambaka.

Day 4

After our breakfast, we depart for nearby Meteora surrounder by a particularly impressive scenery. Here, ageless Monasteries containing priceless historical and religious treasures, stand suspended between earth and sky, on top of granite rocks.

We return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument).
Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
